May saw Mewasa’s second visit to Culham to showcase its technology for edge welded bellows. Mewasa’s UK Sales Manager Allan Jaunzens commented that it had been a great opportunity to catch up with existing contacts and make some new ones as many of the design team on site at Culham are hard at work on the MAST upgrade. The custom design and engineering services offered by Mewasa should enable Culham’s engineers to optimise designs. Of particular interest for many on the day was Mewasa's capability in double walled bellows for “vacuum/ high pressure” applications. Arco - 11 May

Arco Ltd, CCFE’s preferred vendor for head to toe protection and site safety consumables, exhibited at Culham in May and were able to build on the already strong relationship as a pro-active vendor on site within these category ranges, following two previous glove exhibitions and surgeries held over 2009/2010. "Overall we received good attendance with a number of specific enquiries generated on the day, with particular interest around eyewear and skin-care protection. High voltage power supply designers and manufacturers Genvolt exhibited again at Culham on 20 May 2010. "This is our third successive year, we have again been delighted with the response and it's been a great opportunity to promote our capabilities and products," commented Genvolt’s Managing Director, Stuart Morgan. Asco Numatics - 15 April

Asco Numatics, the UK’s leading manufacturer of solenoid and pressure operated valves, exhibited at Culham for the first time in April. “We certainly had a lot of interest,” said Mike Howells, Area Sales Manager. “Of particular interest were our new G3 pneumatic valve islands. These are unique in the industry as they have a graphic display for easy commissioning, visual status and diagnostics." "We also saw a lot of interest in our ‘specials’ and ‘panels’ capabilities,” said Alan Caunce, Senior Technical Sales Engineer. “For many applications on a site like Culham, a standard valve just won’t do. We use our design and rapid prototyping capabilities in Skelmersdale to produce bespoke valves. We also design and manufacture panels for a variety of applications.” Mike and Alan also brought along with them the latest in steam, cryogenic and vacuum valves, including those with ATEX approvals. “This was a great platform for us to show our capabilities,” said Mike.
