Peco Cryogenics Exhibiiton - 16th October 2008

Peco Cyrogenics Exhibition
Peco Cryogenics displayed a range of vacuum insulated Liquid Nitrogen piping systems at a recent exhibition at Culham. This range of technology is not only highly efficient, so minimising losses, but is quick to install. No on-site welding is required as the sections simply clip together using fully vacuum insulated bayonets. This makes it quick and cheap to install and provides the flexibility to change the line configuration at any time by simply adding in extra modules of pipe, valves, tee etc. With ever increasing energy costs, coupled with a desire to reduce wastage, Peco Cryogenics are encouraging users of Liquid Nitrogen to look carefully at their pipe lines. Every non vacuum jacketed connection wastes LN2 in the production of an ice ball. At the same time these connections are producing gaseous nitrogen within the pipeline which often causes instability and therefore problems at the use point. With careful consideration to the pipe system design all of these problems can be overcome with a simple cost effective solution.
