The European Fusion Engineering and Technology (EFET) consortium of companies has been awarded a two year framework agreement for engineering support to the ITER tokamak division, with the option to extend it year-on-year for a further three years.

Oxford Instruments, the world’s leading supplier of superconducting materials, is to supply 58 tonnes of superconducting wire to ITER at a value in excess of £30million.

Remote Handling Workshop Gets to Grip with ITER

Gap & Step artefacts being measured by laser line triangulation
New metrology techniques being developed at EFDA JET with the potential to measure changes in the condition of heat-resistant tiles, before, during and after fusion experiments, could be used by industry to investigate tolerance accuracy of manufactured components, according to researchers.
