UKAEA Fusion and Industry database
The Fusion and Industry database is for UK companies wishing to compete for fusion contracts from various programmes including ITER, JET, MAST, and from other fusion laboratories. The UKAEA is often asked to recommend suitably qualified and experienced UK companies. By registering here we are able to put forward names of appropriate companies for relevant projects.
Also, registered companies usually receive e-news notifying them of any tendering opportunity, news, together with details of fusion projects and technology-related events, workshops and exhibitions organised by UKAEA and other organisations.
In addition, you will also receive our regular Fusion Business e-zine containing news of fusion projects, details of briefing events, 'Meet the Buyer' and workshops related to ITER and other projects.

ITER
Companies wishing to supply to ITER as either a main contractor or sub-contractor should register immediately on the European Fusion Development Agreement (EFDA) database.
While most ITER opportunities will be from Europe's allocation of components, in some cases components supplied by other ITER partners may present sub-contract opportunities for UK companies, therefore companies should register their ability to supply/sub-contract for all relevant components. A preliminary Summary Table of Procurement Allocation between the ITER partners showing Europe's contribution can be downloaded here.

JET and MAST
Details of project news and opportunities arising from MAST and JET can also be found by visiting the UKAEA web site. Where projects are above a certain value, the tendering opportunities are published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) and companies are encouraged to respond in-line with the requirements of OJEU.
Big Science Facilities
Fusion research is just one of a number of international science projects that share a common requirement for high technology engineering and skills. UK Government, Research Councils and UKAEA have formed the Sensors and Instrumentation Knowledge Transfer Network to create a single source of on-going new business opportunities for UK companies from large science projects. These include CERN, European Southern Observatory, Diamond and, of course ITER. To find out more visit the Sensors KTN web site.
