Technology and engineering companies…

Exhibitions are a key feature of the Fusion and Industry programme. For many engineering and scientific instrumentation companies who regularly exhibit at the UK’s leading venues such as Olympia, Earls Court and the NEC, the Culham Science Centre is now firmly part of their exhibition diary.

The exhibitors are suppliers to fusion research, providing a wide range of products and services including precision engineering, fluid flow control, electrical supplies, optics, vacuum components and advanced bearings. In addition to meeting fusion scientists and engineers, exhibitors are able to show new product developments and gather customer feedback from the many other scientists and engineers employed by high-tech companies on the Culham Science Centre site.

For most exhibitors a pop-up stand and tabletop in the main reception area will suffice, but mobile trailers for company road shows can also be accommodated. Exhibitions have become an increasingly popular and successful feature of events at Culham, with an average of three or four exhibitions taking place per month over the year. To meet increasing demand for exhibition slots, UKAEA has introduced joint exhibitions for non-competing companies.

Culham Technology and Innovation exhibition

Building on the success of the individual exhibitions has been the annual Technology and Innovation exhibition which visits Culham and several other UK sites. Promoting innovation and technology transfer between nuclear, aerospace and defence markets, the Technology exhibitions give companies an opportunity to demonstrate their capabilities to defined and targeted audiences normally involved in the assessment, provision or purchasing of technology components and equipment. A feature of the annual Culham Technology and Innovation exhibition is the opportunity to meet the UKAEA Contracts team. Here you will learn how UKAEA procures products and services as well as having an opportunity for a one-to-one meeting with the Contracts team.
