The CCFE CUlham Division has links with the Photonics Cluster (UK), a specialist optoelectronics network dedicated to supporting the adoption of this technology and based at Aston Science Park in Birmingham.

Fusion scientists are working with the Photonics Cluster to identify companies capable of assisting CCFE in developing plasma diagnostic systems for fusion research at Culham and ITER.
