Timely and effective support for start ups

The leading edge technologies deployed at the Culham Science Centre are already assisting many UK companies through new product developments and improved processes and market competitiveness.

The Fusion and Industry Technical Support Package (TSP) has a proven track record of assisting start-up companies at the Culham Innovation Centre with product development and problem solving. The package is characterised by its flexible access to fusion-related technologies and skills to provide:

• 'new thinking' and an objective assessment of technical problems by an expert in the field, as well as advice on how these might be overcome.


• access to specific technologies and skills to assist in new product developments such as innovative bonding techniques, precision engineering, computer modelling and advanced laser diagnostics.

The Technical Support Package is available to suitably qualified companies at the Culham Innovation Centre.  In some cases we will also consider requests from companies not based at Culham, for example, through our membership of the UK Science Park Association (UKSPA).
